On Repeat: Fall Update for <$200

On Repeat: Fall Update for <$200

In the past I’ve gone overboard when it comes to purchasing new fall fashion but, where I live in Canada, true fall last approximately 2.5 weeks in October before winter hits full-force. So the full extent of my autumn arsenal never gets to be worn, leaving my fall closet stocked for years to come with “new” things. But sometimes I still like to rotate in a few fun, fresh things to add new spice to the mix! These 4 items have provided endless styling options for an easy fall wardrobe update and the best part is: they didn’t break the bank!!

The GAP denim are true to size with slight stretch and have an exposed button fly for that perfectly 90’s vibe. I love how high-waisted they are and the raw hem is an edgy touch. They look just as good with heels and booties as they do with sneakers. They come in a few different washes and they’re currently on sale! So many wins!! Just search “high rise true skinny” on GAP’s site to find darker washes of this same style :)

This fall is all about the half-zip sweater - which I could have told you before into the gloss did, but whatevs! - and this one I picked up from H&M checked all the boxes of what I was looking for. Perfect oatmeal color, chunky ribbed knit, slightly cropped with an oversized collar for sliding off one shoulder and silver tonal hardware. Plus, it’s majorly cozy!

Also from H&M, this belt in a snakeskin print that I’m totally rocking as a neutral. It also comes in plain black, black texture, and a green snakeskin that I think I need to get as well!

Last up, I grabbed this cute cardigan from Old Navy in two color options - a solid navy for a more classic vibe and a red leopard print because I couldn’t resist! Both look amazing tucked into high-waisted denim or black skinnies, with the top button or two undone and a few necklaces layered together. Get creative with your bags and shoes and this look works for a ton of occasions!

What’s your strategy for updating your fall wardrobe? Do you shop for all new pieces, shop within your closet and give old pieces new life, or a little bit of both? Leave a comment below and let’s talk fashion, girlfriend!

xo,

M.
